Our Story
The Robinson Family was established in 2021 when Isaac and Kimberly were married at Bear Lake in Colorado, with his (our) kids as the only witnesses. We are still incredibly proud that their signatures are on our marriage certificate.
KICI comes from the first initials of our family’s names: Kimberly, Isaac, Charlie, Ira. In truth it began as a joke (KICI-Poo, as in kick-bootie Farms) when we lived in Lincoln, expanded our garden, installed a greenhouse and purchased our first chickens.
KICI Farms: Established 2022.
In 2023 we were fortunate to find our 5.5 acre farm just south of Princeton. We expanded our garden even further, our flock expanded in true ‘chicken math’ style, and we dreamed bigger. We have a passion for growing things, for getting our hands dirty and for working hard. We often reflect on our Grandparents influence and our love of farming. We experience incredible joy when we share the scents, beauty, and flavors of true locally grown and farm fresh flowers and produce. KICI Farms is no longer a family joke or story, it’s a true path and a way to connect with our land and our community.
We are learning what works, what doesn’t work and how to grow sustainably in a manner that respects our land and its ecosystem. We compost, we rotate crops, we reuse items, we repurpose items, we avoid use of chemicals and pesticides in an effort to ensure we produce items of the highest quality
Our greatest joy is sharing this journey with you and we can’t wait to meet you!
